EvrDrive UX/UI/Product Design

Overview
EvrDrive delivers a better way to buy the next pre-owned vehicle, with the evrview™ 3D Hologram Technology, customers can take a virtual walkaround of any car in our inventory, complete with model specifications and vehicle history.

The proposal is to redesign the search page for customers and the admin panel (Portal) for administrators and representatives to update the vehicle information and check the status of vehicles at anytime. The Customer Experience Center (CXC) is now open at The Woodlands Mall, in The Woodlands, Texas, US.

Research & analysis
Research & Wireframing
I led and mentored two junior designers, analyzed and sorted out the previous product interface to confirm the types of users we wanted to keep and what kind of interface each type of user should see and what kind of operations they could perform.

After continuous discussion, I made the bold assumptions and changes. The steps required by various users have been greatly streamlined and users will be more clearly guided on how to use the different functions. I also suggested that changes to user permissions should be managed and added by the super administrator, and that the super administrator should be able to see the status and permissions of all users.

From there, I confirmed the general user flows and started to wireframing and design the new interface.

Brainstorming & Wireframing

Initial user flows
Prototyping
When designing the admin panel, I carefully categorized the users into different groups and tailored them to their needs, based on the idea that different users need to view and edit detailed information. I was considered that new users should be given some guidance when using it, so that they can understand the features included in the panel more quickly. I also recommend that we need to build a design system for three designers working on one project, which would make sure all elements/prototypes are consistent.

When designing a customer's search interface, I focus more on the interactive animation to guide the customer's experience. I had a lot of discussions with my team about how to position the search bar, how to display the search results, how to display detailed information and use evrview™ 3D Hologram Technology to show the vehicle to customers. Finally, the animation I proposed was approved by everyone in the team, and after the design and modification, it is now officially launched in the Texas, US.

Project Summary
Through this project, I learned a lot and fully understood how to take a product from idea to implementation, how much detail it needs to go through and how to really serve the users and customers.

User-centered design must be considered in many ways and simulated and tested countless times. Even if the design needs to be revised many times, I think it's worth all the effort when everyone is aiming for a better product. For user research and product analysis, I think it is very necessary and can help to understand the immediate needs of the product more efficiently. User targeting can also provide a clearer understanding of more targeted feature design. I've also understand that the interaction between UI and UX can bring a higher level of design to the product.
